BGSU’s new Sebo Athletic center is now guarded with the high-tech protection in the TriBan Antimicrobial System by Triton Technology Group
Bowling Green, Ohio… The Bowling Green Falcons are fighting this season with extra defense in their playbook- the advanced protection of the TriBan Antimicrobial System guarding the Sebo Athletic Center.

Recently, the BGSU Athletic Department got serious protection from microorganisms by treating the weight rooms and training facilities of the SEBO Center with the continually active TriBan Antimicrobial System. The nano-technology powering the TriBan system will help to ensure that the surfaces which the Falcons come in contact are protected from harboring these hidden opponents.
“Creating an environment that enables peak performance from our equipment and our athletes is our number one priority, which is why we didn’t hesitate to treat our athletic training rooms with the TriBan Antimicrobial System,” said Boersma.

Unlike most other antimicrobials that leach chemicals or heavy metals into the air and the surrounding environment, this unique technology controls microbial growth without leaching making it an effective, “green” alternative for athletic departments.
“Our hope was that we could find an antimicrobial technology that was effective without being hazardous to the environment. So often those two things cannot co-exist, but we found we didn’t have to compromise with the TriBan System. It is a non-invasive, green technology that won’t harm the environment or the equipment, yet its effectiveness is second to none,” said Boersma.
The TriBan Antimicrobial System is a comprehensive approach to microbial treatment and prevention. It begins with extensive testing of the facility to determine what contaminants are present and what problem areas exist. Then a customized treatment plan is created for each facility that involves a deep cleaning with EPA registered germ killers and fungicide, followed by an application of the continuously active antimicrobial to the surfaces. Finally, post-testing by an independent lab and a long-term service plan covers annual re-inspections, retesting and service calls complete the process.
