Bowling Green, Ohio… The Bowling Green Falcons are fighting this season with extra defense in their playbook- the advanced protection of the TriBan Antimicrobial System guarding the Sebo Athletic Center.

“In the news every season there are stories of strong, otherwise healthy athletes being negatively affected by microorganisms – from fungi that cause athletes foot, to molds that can inflame asthma, to bacteria that can cause harmful staph infections including the methicillin-resistant strand MRSA,“ said Doug Boersma, Bowling Green State University Director of Sports Medicine

Recently, the BGSU Athletic Department got serious protection from microorganisms by treating the weight rooms and training facilities of the SEBO Center with the continually active TriBan Antimicrobial System. The nano-technology powering the TriBan system will help to ensure that the surfaces which the Falcons come in contact are protected from harboring these hidden opponents.

“Creating an environment that enables peak performance from our equipment and our athletes is our number one priority, which is why we didn’t hesitate to treat our athletic training rooms with the TriBan Antimicrobial System,” said Boersma.

“With the comprehensive TriBan Antimicrobial System on your side, coaches and athletic trainers can focus on the athlete and worry much less about the facility and equipment,” said Art McWood, president of the Triton Technology Group.

“The key to the TriBan system is the durable antimicrobial application,” McWood continued. “TriBan uses the most advanced antimicrobial available, designed to control or eliminate the growth of a wide array of bacteria, mold, fungi and mildew on treated surfaces. It creates a barrier on the surface that is physically inhospitable to future microbial growth. To the human eye and touch, the application is invisible, but for microbes, it is an end-game.”

Bowling Green University had the main Athletic training room and weight room of the SEBO Center treated with the TriBan Antimicrobial System.

Unlike most other antimicrobials that leach chemicals or heavy metals into the air and the surrounding environment, this unique technology controls microbial growth without leaching making it an effective, “green” alternative for athletic departments.

“Our hope was that we could find an antimicrobial technology that was effective without being hazardous to the environment. So often those two things cannot co-exist, but we found we didn’t have to compromise with the TriBan System. It is a non-invasive, green technology that won’t harm the environment or the equipment, yet its effectiveness is second to none,” said Boersma.

The TriBan Antimicrobial System is a comprehensive approach to microbial treatment and prevention. It begins with extensive testing of the facility to determine what contaminants are present and what problem areas exist. Then a customized treatment plan is created for each facility that involves a deep cleaning with EPA registered germ killers and fungicide, followed by an application of the continuously active antimicrobial to the surfaces. Finally, post-testing by an independent lab and a long-term service plan covers annual re-inspections, retesting and service calls complete the process.

Located in Bowling Green Ohio, BGSU offers intercollegiate competition in 18 varsity sports and holds membership in the Mid-American Conference and Central Collegiate Hockey Association. BGSU is one of 13 schools in the country to compete in NCAA I-A football and Division I ice hockey and men’s and women’s basketball. BGSU is committed to excelling both on the field and in the classroom. For more information about BGSU Athletics, please visit www.bgsufalcons.com.

Located in downtown Detroit, Triton Technology Group is an exclusive provider of the TriBan Antimicrobial System. Triton offers an extensive line-up of antimicrobial treatments and applications servicing a broad range of industries including schools, athletic facilities, marinas, new construction and health care facilities.
Grosse Pointe, Mich… Providing a safe and protected environment for students will always be a top objective for educators. Recently, the administration of The Grosse Pointe Academy took its commitment to creating an ideal learning environment to a microscopic level by treating the entire facility with the TriBan Antimicrobial System from Triton Technology Group, LLC.

The dreaded words of ‘mold, mildew and bacteria’ are rarely good news for any commercial property owner, especially a school administrator. At a minimum, microbial contamination can cause stains, odors and property damage to facilities and at the extreme facilities have been condemned for poor air quality, ‘sick building syndrome’ and even found to harbor super-bugs like the antibiotic resistant MRSA bacteria.

“By their very nature, schools are an environment where germs can easily get passed around. For us, children and faculty missing school days is a major concern in our efforts,” said Phil Demartini, head of school at GPA. “We believe it is our responsibility to do everything in our power to proactively make this learning environment as safe as possible. Treating all of the Academy’s surfaces with the powerful TriBan Antimicrobial System gives us the confidence of knowing that we have done just that.”

According to the Indoor Air Quality and Student Performance study by the EPA, “Evidence continues to emerge showing that poor indoor air quality (IAQ) can cause illness requiring absence from school, and can cause acute health symptoms that decrease performance while at school. In addition, recent data suggest that poor IAQ may directly reduce a person’s ability to perform specific mental tasks requiring concentration, calculation, or memory.” (Revised August 2003, 402-K-03-006)

“Microbes such as pathogenic bacteria like MRSA, and air quality issues caused by mold and mildew, are not what school administrators should be worried about,” said Art McWood, president of the Triton Technology Group. “They should be able to focus on the challenge of educating our kids in the best environment possible. That confidence only comes with the continually active, comprehensive TriBan Antimicrobial System.”

“The key to the TriBan system is our durable antimicrobial application,” McWood continued. This EPA registered antimicrobial forms an extremely durable bond on a surface, killing all the microbes present on contact and essentially creating a molecular ‘bed of nails’ all over the treated area. It makes the surface physically inhospitable to future microbial growth. To the human eye and touch, the application is invisible, but for microbes, it is an end-game.”

The Grosse Pointe Academy was treated from top to bottom with the TriBan Antimicrobial System, covering all the major surfaces of the building including the cafeteria, lockers, hallways, classrooms, athletic facilities.

Unlike most other antimicrobials that leach chemicals or heavy metals into the air and the surrounding environment, the unique technology controls microbial growth without leaching, making it an effective, “green” alternative for schools.

“Part of our decision to choose the TriBan System was a concern for the environment. I didn’t want my preventative measures to only add more chemicals and toxins into the very environment I am trying to protect. Knowing that this was a non-invasive, green technology really made choosing TriBan easy,” said Demartini.

The TriBan Antimicrobial System is a comprehensive approach to microbial treatment and prevention. It begins with extensive testing of the facility to determine what contaminants are present and what problem areas exist. Then a customized treatment plan is created for a school that involves a deep cleaning with an EPA registered germ killer and fungicide and followed by an application of Triton’s continuously active antimicrobial to the surfaces. Finally, post-testing by an independent lab and a long-term service plan covers annual re-inspections, retesting and service calls complete the process.

Detroit, Mich… For germ-a-phobes there are few, more intimidating moments than an airport security check point. Today, passengers in Detroit Metro Airport’s new North Terminal can rest easier knowing that the Transportation Security Administration check points and federal inspection areas in the new terminal have been treated with the a powerful, proven antimicrobial found in the TriBan Antimicrobial System that protects the surfaces you touch from harboring bacteria, fungi, mold or other microbes.

“We set out three years ago with a mission to use the best technologies available to make Detroit Metro Airport one of the newest, most operationally-capable and efficient airports in North America,” said Lester Robinson, Wayne County Airport Authority CEO. “Recognizing that many travelers have concerns about contacting germs as they go through security, we are pleased to offer customers a antimicrobial technology for these areas that would be powerful and yet durable enough to withstand airport traffic.”

“Traveling can be stressful enough but with the protection of TriBan in place, passengers have a microscopic ally that allows them to worry more about getting to their plane on time and less about microbes when they fly through the new North Terminal at Detroit Metro Airport,” said Art McWood, president Triton Technology Group.

“The key to the TriBan System is the durable antimicrobial application,” McWood continued. “This EPA registered antimicrobial technology forms an extremely durable bond on a surface, and controls microorganisms without chemical poisons by essentially creating a molecular ‘bed of nails’ all over the treated area. It makes the surface physically inhospitable to current and future microbial growth. To the human eye and touch, the application is invisible, but for microbes, it is an end-game.”

Established in 2002 by the Michigan State Legislature, Wayne County Airport Authority is an independent agency responsible for the operation of Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) and Willow Run Airport (YIP). Serving nearly 36 million passengers each year, DTW is the largest airport in Michigan and among the busiest air transportation hubs in the world. DTW’s 17 airlines offer more than 1,200 non-stop flights per day to more than 160 destinations worldwide.

Flagstaff, Arizona…The Lumberjacks are charging into the Northern Arizona University’s (NAU) J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome this season with an extra defense in their playbook- the advanced protection of the TriBan Antimicrobial System guarding their facility, equipment and field of play.

“In the news every season there are stories of strong, otherwise healthy athletes being negatively affected by microorganisms – from fungi that cause athletes foot and jock itch, to molds that can enflame asthma, to bacteria that can cause staph infections including the methacilin-resistant strand MRSA,“ said Ryan Pinson, Northern Arizona University head athletic trainer.

The nano-technology powering the TriBan system will help to ensure that the surfaces that the Lumberjack’s come in contact with are protected from harboring these hidden opponents.

“Creating an environment that enables peak performance from our equipment and our athletes is our number one priority, which is why we didn’t hesitate to treat our athletic complex with the TriBan Antimicrobial System,” said Pinson.

It creates a barrier on the surface that is physically inhospitable to future microbial growth. To the human eye and touch, the application is invisible, but for microbes, it is an end-game.”

Through Triton’s partnership with Hellas Construction, Northern Arizona had the varsity locker rooms for all sports, the training room and weight room and the field of the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome building treated with the TriBan Antimicrobial System. Additionally, NAU is treating the turf fields at the new Recreational Fields Expansion project on the south campus with the TriBan System.

Unlike most other antimicrobials that leach chemicals or heavy metals into the air and the surrounding environment, this unique technology controls microbial growth without leaching making it an effective, “green” alternative for universities.

“Part of our decision to choose the TriBan Antimicrobial System was out of concern for the environment. Knowing that this was a non-invasive, green technology that would not have any adverse affects to the environment, the field or equipment made choosing TriBan easy,” said Pinson.
